Privacy Policy

Your thoughts are private by nature. We collect only what is needed to hold, sync, and help organise them.

What the app stores

Your captures, loops, projects, areas, Deep Dives, notes, dates, and app preferences are stored in a private local database on your device first.

Anonymous sync

When you are online, app data is synced over encrypted HTTPS to our service on Cloudflare and stored in Cloudflare D1. The app creates a random account and device identifier for this purpose. It does not require your name or email address.

AI processing

When online classification or conversational help is used, the text needed to answer your request and a limited amount of relevant loop context may be sent through our service to OpenAI. If that service is unavailable, capture can fall back to on-device processing. We do not use your capture text for advertising.

Subscriptions and diagnostics

RevenueCat processes subscription status and purchase identifiers. Apple processes App Store purchases. Privacy-safe analytics may record events such as a feature being opened or an action being undone, but must not include capture text, loop titles, contact names, URLs, notification content, or AI prompts.

Notifications

Optional reminders are scheduled on your device. Generic notification wording is the default. You can change or disable notifications in the app and in iOS Settings.

Retention, export, and deletion

Your synced data remains available until you delete it or delete the anonymous account from Settings. The app also provides a data export. Deleting the account removes server-held account data; deleting the app removes local data from that device.

Your choices

You can use capture offline, decline notifications, inspect and correct AI interpretations, export your data, and delete your account. For privacy questions or deletion help, email info@simplebytes.com.
